Auto-Immune Disorder:
Foods to watch out for or Stay away from- White sugar, Alcohol, Processed Foods, Fried & Deep Fried Foods, High fat foods. Some Dairy. Cheese.
I found the best way to manage my auto immune disorder was to eat less fried foods, less dairy, and more steamed or raw veggies. Home cooked foods like soups are good.
Of course all depending on the severity of the Auto-Immune Disorder you have, But you should be able to find out what foods are good and which ones to stay away from. Or cut back, balance, also is another option. Not too much of one thing.
Exercise is very important to keep the lymph nodes and the liver detoxed.

This Recipe can be made with a rack of pork ribs. Boil rack of ribs in a large pot of water, simmer until tender and meat is falling off bones. Take bones out and continue with adding onions without the oil and sauteing. add everything to the liquid, and simmer until veggies are tender.

Ingredients:
Add salt & pepper to taste before you add potatoes.
- 3 medium beets, peeled, grated or chopped
- 2 medium potatoes, or two cups peeled and diced
- 1 medium carrot, grated or one cup peeled and chopped, one cup of peas & one of Lima beans
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1/4 medium cabbage, shredded
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced, & one bay leaf
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 6 cups vegetable or beef broth (if not using rack of pork)
- Sour cream and fresh dill for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, sautéing until soft and fragrant.
- Add the grated beets and carrots to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Pour the broth into the pot and bring to a gentle boil. Add the diced potatoes and let them cook until tender, about 10–15 minutes.
- Once the potatoes are nearly done, add the shredded cabbage, Simmer for an additional 10 minutes or until all vegetables are tender.
Allow the soup to sit for a few minutes after cooking to let the flavours meld together.
- Ladle the borscht into bowls and top with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of fresh dill. Serve warm with crusty bread or enjoy it chilled on a hot day.
